The i-DR S420 from NSW Automation is a Solder Paste Dispenser. It has a fluid delivery system that comprises of SynchroPULSE-MICRO/LITE, PistonPRO 4+, HeliMASTER-3, DST Jetting, Piezoelectric Jetting, and Time Pressure Dispenser. It is compatible with 5 different types of dispensing pump technologies - squeezing micro-dispensing, volumetric dispensing, Auger dispensing, non-contact Jetting, time pressure dispensing. This dispenser has a dispensing area of 310 x 310 mm and can accommodate PCB boards of sizes up to 320 x 320 mm. It has a dispensing size of ≥80 µm and a servo motor drive with a linear encoder for XY and Z axis actuators. All its motors are directly driven, resulting in better motion accuracy after long operation hours with the ability to switch pumps quickly. This dispenser has a primary XY Axis resolution of 0.5 µm with an accuracy of ±15 μm/200 mm stroke/23°C and a Z Axis Resolution of 0.5 µm and accuracy of ±10 µm/50 mm Stroke/23°C.
The i-DR S420 has an integrated advanced vision system to assist pump heads in quickly acquiring the exact XY position of the dispensing location on a workpiece. This system achieves precise constant accuracy, eliminates system tolerances, and can detect misaligned workpieces when a new workpiece is loaded into the system during a repeating dispensing process. This dispenser has a laser height sensing system and full enclosure featured with a safety interlock function and HEPA filter to prevent dust from contaminating the dispenser’s workspace. It is fully enclosed with a cover onto a solid granite base and gantry to deliver better performance in terms of stability, accuracy, and speed.
The i-DR S420 requires an AC supply of 220-240 V and consumes less than 13 A of current. It has a footprint of 2185 x 1245 x 1200 mm.
