Flexible Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) are boards that don’t have a fixed shape and, as the name suggest, are flexible. They can be twisted and turn in various shapes according to the requirements and available space, without damaging the board. Various substrates can be used to manufacture flexible PCBs, which include Polyamide (PI), PEEK (Polyether ether ketone) or transparent conductive polyester films. Flexible PCBs are ideal for use in applications which where weight and space are constrained, however, they are usually costlier than Rigid and Rigid-Flex PCBs.
