The ORISSA SYNCHRODEX from Pillar House International is a Selective Soldering Machine that can accommodate PCBs measuring up to 457 x 610 mm. It has a solder pot capacity of 15 kg, and the flux tank can hold up to 1 litre of flux. A conveyor with an edge clearance of 3 mm is used to transport the PCBs, while flux is applied to these PCBs in 50 seconds. It offers enhanced wave stability and reduced potential for solder balls. The system accommodates various technologies, including the micro nozzle, jet-wave, wide-wave, and dedicated multi-tube single-dip solder technologies. With a hot Nitrogen curtain providing an inert atmosphere for soldering and preventing oxidation, the process minimizes thermal shock.
The whole soldering process consumes around 10 litres of air/minute and consumes 30 to 100 litres of N2 gas. Additionally, the N2 gas used to heat the solder is exhausted via a nozzle of diameter of 25 mm. It is available in an enclosure that measures 2024 x 813 x 1615 mm and requires a single-phase AC supply. This selective soldering machine is available with optional additions such as closed-loop pyrometer temperature control, dual Drop-Jet/ultrasonic fluxing, and laser PCB warp correction, among others.
