UFLEX AUTOMATION

The Uflex™ Automation Platform from Universal Instruments Corporation is a Pick-and-Place Machine that operates automatically with a working vision system. It can accommodate PCBs measuring from 50.0 x 75.0 x 0.5 mm to 630 x 508 x 12 mm, while the largest component size can be 127 x 127 x 100 mm. This machine has three heads for mobility, and the maximum number of feeders ranges from 0 to 10. The placement rate is around 1.2 sec/component, and the components are placed with an accuracy of 50 µm.  

The Uflex™ Automation Platform features a small footprint and delivers cost-effective automation by quickly transitioning to an array of standard and third-party tooling, as well as numerous feeding options, to perform virtually any automation task. It supports up to four high-speed vacuum spindles or three high-speed pneumatic grippers. This machine offers investment protection versus custom cells designed for a single task. It can lower the cost per insertion by more than 95% versus the manual assembly process while substantially improving quality and yields. It is available in an enclosure that measures 1000x 1700 x 1830 mm.
