Mycronic Secures $9 Million Order for SLX Laser Mask Writer from New Asian Customer712370

Mycronic AB, a leading manufacturer of mask writers for the semiconductor industry, has secured a significant order from a new customer in Asia for its SLX laser mask writer. The order, valued at between $7 million and $9 million, highlights the growing demand for high-quality photomasks for semiconductor manufacturing and the need for replacement and modernization of existing equipment.

The SLX mask writer is based on the same technology as Mycronic’s display mask writers and is known for its superior performance, productivity, and reliability, as well as its energy efficiency. The system is scheduled to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2023 and is expected to play a key role in producing high-quality photomasks for the semiconductor industry.

“We are delighted that the SLX mask writer continues to win new customers, thanks to its outstanding performance and lower energy consumption,” said Charlott Samuelsson, Senior Vice President of Pattern Generators at Mycronic. “Our Pattern Generators division is committed to providing innovative, high-quality solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers in the display and semiconductor industries.”

Photomasks produced by laser mask writers are a critical component in the manufacturing of semiconductors and account for the majority of all photomasks produced. With the rising demand for semiconductors, Mycronic's SLX mask writer is well-positioned to meet the needs of the semiconductor industry and help drive growth in the sector.
