ACDi, a leading provider of electronics manufacturing services, announced the expansion of its East Coast presence and manufacturing capabilities with the acquisition of a fourth manufacturing plant in Kilmarnock, Virginia. The company signed an asset purchase agreement with QinetiQ to acquire its Virginia facility and its assets, including SMT, wave soldering, AOI, and SPI equipment. The deal brings ACDi to 4 East Coast locations with a total of 9 SMT lines.
Along with the asset purchase will be the addition of all manufacturing employees and several new customers. ACDi will continue to build a product for the customers previously served at 140 Technology Park Dr, Kilmarnock, Virginia location to its AS9100 quality certification and plans to add new customers and personnel to meet growing demand for its capabilities.
