As a combined PCB design and manufacturing house, we always create custom stencils to manufacture your product. We actually prefer our customers to allow us to design and order the stencils as we have a lot of tricks to get the best paste coverage for a multitude of component packages. The stencil is a critical piece of the manufacturing process and we make sure it's done properly.
We’ve always done our best to be environmentally friendly and one way we meet that goal is to recycle printed circuit boards through our repair program. No matter how well a product is manufactured, failures will eventually happen. Thus, we encourage clients to send any damaged, non-operational products back to us for diagnostic and repair services. We run diagnostics on every return to learn from the failures. When we see any repeatable issues, then we work with the customer to harden future designs against those failures. For every repair, we document the issues, fix anything we can, perform any necessary software updates, functionally test it, and return the product as good as new to the client. We never repair a product if it would cost more than purchasing a new board. Those are retired and disposed of properly. This program saves our customers money as they get a fully operational product back for a fraction of the original cost. We mainly repair products manufactured by us, but we will take other repair work as long as the product is well documented.
