SMT stencil is used for PCB assembly to transfer solder paste to the bare circuit board. We support PCB SMT stencil for assembly together with PCB fabrication. There are stencils laser cut and electro polished or not. There are framed, or frameless SMT Stencils. Framed SMT stencils or “glue-in” stencils is with a stencil frame and frameless without. Prototype SMT stencils are laser-cut stencils usually for prototype printed circuit board assembly manual printing.
Framed Stencils
These laser-cut solder paste stencils are permanently mounted on the frame where the border mesh provides the necessary tension to the stencil foil. These are designed for bulk machinery production.
Frameless Stencils
These stencils are not required to be permanently mounted on the outer frame. These low-cost stencils are recommended for prototype PCB assembly or short runs.
