The FA1240-61 from HIOKI is a Populated Board Testing System with a probe work area of 510 x 460 mm. It has an independent 4-arm movement and up to 40,000 test steps with a measurement speed of 0.025 sec./step. This tester uses automated conveyor with a speed of up to 40 meter/min and can transport a mass of up to 2 kgf. It is ideal for verifying correct mounting on populated boards and ensures global standards compliance. Key features of this probe tester include quick program completion, automatic arm interference calculation, probe replaceability, high-speed testing and proprietary lead float detection for solder quality assurance.
The FA1240-61 allows to create a program from the design data, perform electrical testing with minimal time and cost, and quickly confirm and record defects. It employs the UA1782 fail visualizer to display defective components, check parallel components and also search for resist openings with a high risk of shorting. This testing system uses the proprietary lead float detection function to ensure detection of inadequate contact through resistance testing. Since the process is not affected by internal component circuitry, the method also provides an effective means of detecting lead float for ICs and SMT connectors.
This populated board testing system is available in an enclosure that measures 1406 x 1300 x 1380 mm and requires an AC supply of 200 V AC (single-phase, 50/60 Hz).
