As the name suggests a PCB Bare Board is a PCB board right after the PCB fabrication process before any electronic components have been placed on to the board. Components are added to a PCB bare board in the PCB assembly process. A bare printed circuit board is fabricated by alternating layers of copper foil, and prepreg material (resin and a reinforcement material). The board has all the copper traces etched on it, vais drilled and has pads for component placement.
